Friday, January 13, 2017- Friday, March 24, 2017

Title: Becoming a Learning School

Author: Joellen Killion and Particia Roy

“Becoming a Learning School” by Joellen Killion and Patricia Roy is an excellent resource for all school leaders. This study will focus on seven chapters of the book while reviewing its resources for tools, ideas, and research-based strategies for creating learning communities whose focus is the improved learning of all students.

The book study will be moderated by an experienced West Virginia administrator, and participants will be asked to make postings in response to questions based on their reading and also make postings in response to the postings of their peers.

Upon registering, principals will receive an email confirmation and a copy of the text by mail, along with a guide about how to participate in the online book study. Moderators and WVCPD staff will provide guidance and technical assistance.

The registration fee is $25 per person. The registration fee must be paid online, by check or by purchase order in order to receive the log in information. The $25 registration fee covers only a portion of the cost of the book you will receive. Principals who receive the book and do not participate or complete the book study will be invoiced for the remaining amount of the book or must return it to the WVCPD.
