Online Book Study

This session is a Menu C course option for the WVCPD Teacher Academy and is open to all teachers.
Discover practical and research-based strategies to ensure all students, regardless of circumstance, are college and career ready. This thorough resource details the necessary but difficult work that teachers must do to establish the foundational changes essential to positively impact students in poverty.
Organized tools and resources are provided to help teachers effectively implement these essential changes.
Each online book study will be facilitated by an outstanding WV educator. You will be expected to post responses weekly based on assigned readings in the book. You will be asked to apply strategies from the book in your classroom and report back to the forum for discussion and reflection. Your facilitator will guide and support you through this process if you have never participated in an online book study before.
The book study is two months in duration. Books will be mailed to participants approximately one week prior to the session start date. Approximately one week prior to the session start date teachers will receive information via email with detailed instructions about how to participate in the online book study.
Your space will not be guaranteed until payment for the session or purchase order number is received.
