Celebrating West Virginia's 150th Birthday

Infusing Technology

The Infusing Technology (IT) professional development is an extraordinary opportunity for classroom teachers to move beyond using iPads® only for entertainment purposes. Instead, the West Virginia Center for Professional Development helps educators transform the use of these tools into powerful devices for instruction and student engagement.  Infusing Technology requires a one-year commitment  and  provides participants with resources and online expert mentoring to implement best-practice techniques for transformational uses of technology in the school and classroom.  Participants will learn how to infuse a high level of technology in order to increase critical thinking, reasoning and problem solving skills.  With online peer and mentor support, participants will model effective classroom instruction using technology to maximize learning experiences for students.
